Applications are open for individuals, groups and organisations to apply to have their creative event or activity included in the 2018 Manning Winter Festival [MWF] program. Applications close 1 December 2017.
The 2018 Festival will be held 1 - 11 June, with “warm up” events and “follow up” events included in the program if projects fall within a week either side of the Festival dates.
The program will promote and celebrate the diversity of artistic talent and creativity across the Manning Valley, which includes the former Greater Taree and Gloucester local government areas. Creative initiatives include music, voice, drama, crafts, heritage, dance, visual arts, and community events with a cultural/lifestyle theme.
“The Festival will not only be a major tourist attraction, but will also feature the amazing choices and opportunities we have in this beautiful area,” said Committee President Mave Richardson. ”We encourage all residents to get behind the 2018 Festival and organize an event or activity,” she added.
A highlight of next year`s Festival will be supporting PCYC Taree, as it celebrates 30 years of dedicated service to the well-being of our young people. Events and activities will be the responsibility of the respective organizers. Registration is free. MWF will coordinate and extensively promote the program. Registration details can be found on the website www.manningwinterfestival.weebly.com or by emailing [email protected]
